Hi Friends! Happy Friday!!
I’m busy making holiday cards. What are you up to? For my card today, I used the TGIF Challenge but I didn’t get it done in time to submit. Regardless, it always fun to play a sketch challenge.

As you probably know, we live in the St. Louis area, and we love our baseball Cardinals. My Mister likes Christmas cards in traditional colors- red and green. So I made this for him to send to all his fellow sports fans. I hope he likes it as I’ll be making duplicates.
I’m using a current set of dies from one of my favorite suites that was new two years ago & it keeps going strong. I cut it in Mossy Meadow & the bird in Real Red.
To me this card has a Vintage feel & the reason I used the Diamond Weave ribbon the was doubled over & tied it with a linen tread bow. I wanted a more distressed look so I used my Crumb Cake ink pad top & my watercolor brush to pick up some watery ink.

Here’s a closer look at the ribbon embellishment. It looks a bit red even though I used Crumb Cake ink.

I like to use the narrow strips of paper from trimming my front for the inside. It really pulls the outside & inside together.

The Heartwarming Hugs DSP has traditional colors like my Mister likes. These papers & the Tidings of Christmas DSP will be “his” cards.

Thanks for stopping today. Happy Weekend!!& Happy Stamping, Marilyn (aka MJ)
