Art Gallery meets Black & White Stripes

Hi friends! Happy Friday. I hope you all are safe from the winter weather. Today’s card is one that I played with for two days before I “got it right” or was happy with it.

I used The Card Concept challenge as my inspiration. I really wanted to use my new Flowering Tulips bundle from the January-June mini catalog but I just couldn’t get them to work. So I pulled out my favorite floral back when the new Annual Catalog came out last June- Art Gallery

Even though I wasn’t able to use the new tulips, I was able to use new Layering Designs vellum from the January-June mini catalog. And new to me, but from our Annual Catalog, Encircled in Beauty dies.

My central flower was made by stamping Polished Pink on Flirty Flamingo. Then I used Versa-mark, Heat & Stick powder & my embossing gun to create a sticky layer & then I added Gold Leafing. With a stiff art stipple brush, I brushed off the excess leafing.

  2. This is gorgeous, Marilyn. I love that your interpretation is slightly “off” on the colors. It shows that you have used the inspiration and made it uniquely your own. Stunning work, and thanks SO much for sharing your talents with us. Please stop by again soon.
