Simple Cactus Cuties Cards

Hi friends! I have a fun set to share with you today. I can’t believe I’ve had this punch and stamp set for about a month & I’m just now playing with it! Well, I made up for it as I spent a couple of days creating with it.

I have two cards for you. Two are simple stamping worthy. On Friday, I’ll share a stepped version. Basically, I used the same layout but changed some things up.

The first starts with a Cinnamon Cider card base (4.25 x 5.5). The front panel was partially embossed with one of the small Greenery EF. The DSP is from the Annual Catalog & is called Bloom Where You Are Planted. Using the Layering Circles dies, a scalloped circle was cut. The cactus was stamped & punched & mounted on the circle. The sentiment “Just a Note” in that fun font is from the set.

My second card is also Simple but a little different from the first card, although the sketch is virtually the same. I used a card base of Basic White, and mounted my DSP onto Just Jade card stock. As you can see, the cactus is exactly the same. It is mounted on a white circle backed with Soft Succulent In-Color Shimmer Vellum. The side piece is Cinnamon Cider which was embossed with dots from the Checks & Dots small Embossing Folders. (These EF fit in the mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine- gotta’ love that, right?!). The sentiment is in a different spot but the same design.

Come back on Friday when I share my Stepped-up version of the same card. Hugs, Marilyn (aka MJ)
