Welcome to InKing Royalty’s November Blog Hop! November is a time of gratitude and thanksgiving, and we’ve made projects that say “thanks!” to special people in our lives. We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Sometimes all you need is pretty paper & an awesome sentiment to make a great card. That’s one of the things I love about Stampin’ Up- the gorgeous Designer Series Paper (DSP)! This paper is called Rustic Harvest. It has wonderful fall colors and designs on one side and black/white designs on the other side. I used one of the black and white design with yesterday’s cards.

I often cut my DSP so that I can make multiples of the same card. This works well for my card class too. And this is a sneak peek of one of the cards we will be making at class on Friday. *

*If you’re in the St. Louis area, we’d love for you to join in for a fun Friday afternoon or night out. We make 3 cards. Everything is provided, so all you need to do is bring YOU & a beverage.
…Back to the blog post… The card base is Crushed Curry. Then a layer of Basic Black cardstock. A piece of 3.5 x 5″ piece of Merry Merlot was embossed with the Timber 3D embossing folder & Adhered to the lower part of the card. The 3 x 4 piece of DSP was mounted on Crushed Curry. That panel was mounted with dimensionals to the card.

The “thanks” sentiment from the Amazing Thanks dies (a must have {in my humble opinion}). The shadow is in Basic Black & the “thanks” in Crushed Curry. Three gold sequins from our Seasonal Sequins were added to give it a pop.
One of the things I do with my card class is create a more intricate card & then two easier cards. This is one of the easier cards. Since I cut everything, the participants only need to assemble. The card is seasonally appropriate & I know they will be able to use it soon, perhaps a thanks for including me at your Thanksgiving table.

I really like your card layout. I wasn’t crazy about that piece of DSP, but you showcased it well.

The paper is the star of the show and that is wonderful. Having great paper and a large sentiment make life easy and pretty cards! I am partial to that Thanks, and love yours!
