Birthday Piggy- Class Card

Hi friends! Today I want to share with you a card that we made on Friday at Stamp Class. I was a little unsure if my stamping class friends would like this card but it was an overwhelming hit- “Yes, we LOVE it”. I couldn’t have been more thrilled. Some of the friends actually burst out into giggles or laughs saying ‘this piggy is so cute”. Agree wholeheartedly!’

It was a fun fold too. The Design a Daydream Designer Series Paper or DSP measures 5.25 x 11. It is scored at 1.5”, 4.25” & 7” & adhered to a 5.5 x 4.25 piece of Petal Pink cardstock. A piece of Basic White was hidden under the first fold for the sentiment. A scrap piece of DSP lined the bottom. Since the fold was with DSP (& not cardstock) we burnished the folds & it stayed closed without a belly band.

We stamped This Birthday Piggy on Petal Pink in Black Momento ink. We colored him with our Stampin’ Write markers. We mounted the Petal Pink panel onto Pool Party. Then we made a little ribbon flag out of the velvety Petal Pink Soft Polyester ribbon. And we topped the ribbon with a little Flower Trinket.

I hope you like it! I’m so happy my class friends did! Have a great Monday! Marilyn (aka MJ)

Christmas Scottie

Little black Scottie dogs- doesn’t get any cuter, right!! My card today features the Christmas Scottie bundle- stamp set and punch. I always love a set with a punch as it is fast to make a stack of cards.

I started with a piece of Garden Green Gingham Cottage DSP & mounted it on Garden Green cardstock. That DSP panel was then mounted on a Merry Merlot card base. Another piece of Merry Merlot was scored & placed in the middle of the card.

Garden Green Stylish Shapes squares were the base for the Scotties. The Scottie dogs were stamped in Momento black ink on Basic White cardstock & punched out.

The sentiment is from the Merriest Moment stamp set. It was die cut with the Stylish Shapes banner die. Last Black Matte Dots we’re added.

Thanks for looking! Have a great start to your week! Marilyn (aka MJ)

Scottie Holiday

We’re dog lovers. To be more accurate we’re animal lovers & we have a little 15 pound rescue. She’s not a Scottie but she is the spice of our lives. To honor all dogs, I used the Christmas Scottie bundle on my card today.

Christmas Scottie bundle #159744

I had so much fun with this card by using supplies from the Annual Catalog & the July-December catalog that aren’t part of the Christmas Scottie bundle. First the card base is Real Red with a Basic White Scalloped Contours rectangle.

Next is a square of Real Red topped with a black-in-black piece of DSP from the Gingham Cottage 12×12 DSP. I used the plaid stamp from the Christmas Scottie stamp set & stamped Real Red on basic White.

The Scottie was stamped in Black & punched out. He was popped up with dimensionals & a Red Rhinestone collar was added.

Using the Christmas Banners bundle, I created the “‘Tis the Season” banner. The inside of the card repeats the Scalloped rectangle from the front for continuity. In Black, the Christmas Scottie sentiment “May your days be Furry & Bright” & “Merry Christmas” were stamped on the Basic White scalloped rectangle.

Here’s one last look & a look at our rescue, Maggie. Thanks for indulging me with our little dog. Have a great day!
