Happy Sunday, dear friends! What a glorious day! Can you believe it is just one week until Christmas. This time of year I have to remind myself to keep calm & not stress about all I think I need to do & instead enjoy the season & my people. The Bible verse below has good to advice for me.
“Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Today, in addition to the Sunday reflection, I want to share with you a card I made using a bundle that you will see in the upcoming Jan-April ’23 mini catalog- Framed Florets. These stamps and dies are so pretty.
And lucky us, Stampin’ Up released this bundle early PLUS a coordinating holiday set & DSP. But there’s a catch, the “Framed & Festive” holiday stamp set & the Fitting Florets DSP are only available until January 4th. You’ll need to grab them as soon if you want them because once the supply is depleted, they’re gone for good.
Below is a close-up of the card. The DSP was mounted on a Basic White card base. Next I added the frame & oval which were left over from another project. I stamped the sentiment slightly off center so there would be room for the flowers.
The big flowers were stamped on Basic White & Blushing Bride & die cut. The little flowers were die cut in white & then Cherry Cobbler ink was added using a sponge dauber. All the flowers have adhesive backed swirls.
I hope you have a really wonderful Sunday! Marilyn (aka MJ)
Stamps: Framed & Festive Cling Stamp Set (#160888; Merriest Moments (poinsettias) Stamp Set (carry-over from 2021)
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Basic White, Soft Sea Foam, Blushing Bride
DSP: Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper (item 161814)
Dies: Framed Florets Dies (#160623), Merriest Frames hybrid (carryover from 2021)
Hi Friends! I hope you are having an excellent start to your November. Today I have a pretty card for you. It was made with the Splendid Thoughts bundle PLUS the oval frames from the Fitting Florets dies.
The base of the card is Mossy Meadow; on top of that is a layer of Soft Sea Foam cardstock with the gorgeous Splendid Day DSP. I cut the frames in Basic White and Soft Sea Foam.
I stamped “Sending Hugs” from the Splendid Thoughts stamp set in full strength Mossy Meadow on the Basic White oval. Next the tall open leaf stamp was inked in Mossy Meadow & stamped off two times & then stamped onto the Basic White oval. Then the large leafy open image was stamped in Soft Sea Foam.
The Soft Sea Foam oval frame was centered & adhered on the panel of DSP. The stamped Basic White oval was then centered in the Soft Sea Foam frame. Next were all the pretty adornments. An open leaf die cut in Mossy Meadow. Then the beautiful Open Leaf trinkets in gold was added with glue dots and a pretty bow in the Gold and Vanilla Satin edged ribbon.
That’s it for today. Happy Stamping! Marilyn (aka MJ)

Today I have a pretty card featuring the colors from the Color Throwdown Challenge. I used Polished Pink, Rich Razzleberry, Flirty Flamingo and Garden Green.
The technique I used is a fun one when you have the “right” stamp set. The Lovely You” stamp set is just perfect with its smaller images.
I took a strip of Basic White card stock & put it across my Basic White card front. Then I stamped away. Next I used my Basic Black marker to draw lines. I stamped my Congratulations sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set. I added a few lines of color.
I mounted my stamped panel on a piece of Polished Pink & then mounted the entire panel on a thick Basic White card base.
I like the way it turned out. Lots of white space… Clean & Simple. Have a great day! Marilyn (aka MJ)
I’m tempting you one last time with the marvelous Sale-a-bration (SAB) Wonderful World Stamp set & DSP- free with a $100 product purchase (before S/H & tax). Honestly, this is a must have set…some many options with these flowers.
And who doesn’t love a big flower?! I stamped it in Highland Heather. Then I inked up the circle from Watercolor Shapes with Fresh Freesia & stamped off. I then lightly spritzed the circle stamp with water & then stamped it right on top of the flower. I really like how it turned out. What do you think?
I mounted my floral image panel onto Highland Heather cardstock & then that was applied to a Fresh Freesia card base. The sentiment is from a set called Celebrating You. It was stamped in Highland Heather & mounted on skinny strip of Highland Heather cardstock.
In the top left corner, I poked two holes side by side & threaded the Fresh Freesia open weave ribbon down & then back up.
I hope you like it! Be sure to get your orders in before the end of the day to Take advantage of free merchandise.
My card today features another Sale-a-bration set of products. You have ONLY two days to order this beautiful suite of products called Wonderful World. Below are pictures of the catalog pages…just look at that gorgeous paper.
I just love the Stampin’ Up catalogs because they are filled with great ideas for card-making. They help me think “outside the box”. But today my card is a “go-to” sketch for me; definitely an “inside the box” sketch.
We made this card in my Card Class. We usually have a time consuming card & then I add two more quicker cards. This is one of the fast cards & it’s card base is Flirty Flamingo.
We added a piece of DSP measuring 4 x 3 to the lower section of the card base. When you cut your DSP into 4×3 pieces, you get 12 pieces- plenty to make duplicates.
The flower was stamped onto a scalloped rectangle die cut from the Scalloped Contours dies using our Stamp-a-ratus. After centering the big floral image, we used a sponge dauber to pick up ink from the Flirty Flamingo ink pad & we tapped it onto the flower part of the stamp. Then we used Pear Pizzazz ink pad & dauber for the stem. Using the stamp-a-ratus, we could go back & re-ink any areas we missed. Next we inked the scalloped edges with the dauber.
If you hold the inked sponge dauber & paper exactly perpendicular to each other, you transfer just a little color to the edges.
From the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack we added a white bow to the stems.
Ta-da! A quick & beautiful card.
Have a great week! Happy Stamping, Marilyn (aka MJ)
