I know I’ve written before about this stunning DSP called Fitting Florets. But I just love it! And it was already out on my workspace so I made another card & made it for the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge #566. It’s one of my favorite challenges.
The Balmy Blue & White ribbon match perfectly with the Fitting Florets DSP. The ribbon is still available & is a carryover (not retiring).
I enjoy making all kinds of cards but I really enjoy using DSP, ribbon & embellishments. So most of my cards have lots of goodies! Stampin’ Up makes it easy with their color coordination. The ribbon was showcased with the Storybook Gnomes but the Balmy Blue &
The blue gems are so pretty in person but the card picture just doesn’t do it justice. Stampin’ Up color coordinates between catalogs too- these gems are in the new January-April catalog & are also Balmy Blue, along with Calypso Coral & Gold.
This January, I’m focusing on Thank You cards, Sympathy cards & Birthday cards so stay tuned for more ideas. Later in January, I’ll work on Valentine cards. Anyway for this card, my sentiment comes from a set in the Annual Catalog called Artistically Inked. I love the big script font!
Here’s another close-up & pictures of other products not pictured above.
I am so over the top crazy about our December Paper Pumpkin. I made the above card using the “piece of bread” image from the stamp set. So here’s the story…I was participating in a Paper Pumpkin Zoom meeting with my AWESOME Up-line (my SU! demonstrator sponsor), Brian King and fellow demonstrators. Brian made the comment about stamping the bread pieces in a row. That’s when it hit me that this image would be perfect for the Freshly Made Sketch 517 . I’d been staring at the sketch all week & trying to come up with a unique design. Thanks Brian for inspiring me!
Here are two pictures of the kit. One with the cards as fully detailed with instructions so you can copy them. And the second shows all the pieces that are in the kit. It is such as great deal! Nine (9) cards & coordinating envelopes, embellishments and a stamp set for just $22.
Here’s a close-up of the card. I added the Balmy Blue dots from the kit at the last minute & I’m not sure if I like them or should have just used the Early Espresso”eyes” from the face image. What do you think?
Next month’s kit is sure to be a winner too. Here’s a sneak peek. Remember, demonstrators don’t get to see the contents or stamp set, just like you. But here is what I do know. I really like when the Paper Pumpkin is “occasion” oriented; this one is sure to have love/Valentine
