GDP 332- CASEing Kim Fee

Greetings! Lucky me, I had a chance to play in the studio this morning; here’s what I made. Yeah- Happy Satur-Yay!

I always love playing challenges so I chose the Global Design Project 332 to case the card below by Kim Fee.

First I embossed a Basic White panel using the Pretty Flowers EF. Then using our Blending Brushes, I added Mango Melody ink especially on the larger embossed flowers.

The floral image from Shaded Summer is stamped in Crumb Cake & die cut with the coordinating dies from a previous SAB. (Now retired). Using a blender pen, I colored the flower white space with Mango Melody & the leaves with Mint Macaroon.

The floral image was mounted on Paper Lattice just like Kim’s card. My ribbon is Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace trim & tied the Crumb Cake Bakers Twine from the Essentials pack.

I changed the orientation & mounted the entire panel on Crumb Cake card stock. I didn’t add a sentiment on the front so I can decide later on the occasion (bday, thinking of you, etc.) & I’ll stamp on the inside.

I hope you had a great Saturday! Thanks for stopping! Marilyn (aka MJ)

Christmas Bird

Happy Sunday, friends!

I had some extra time this weekend to play in the studio. One of my favorite things to do is to play along with card challenges. So I chose the Global Design Project Challenge “Case the Designer” & this week it is Stesha Bloodhart (Stampin Hoot). Below is my card & the second picture is the card to case.

Don’t you just love her card!

I chose a base of Real Red & added a layer Crumb Cake to keep with Stesha’s card. On top of the Crumb Cake is a green plaid which looks like DSP but it is actually from our October Paper Pumpkin, specifically I cut down the envelope.

My bird is from the “Free as a Bird” stamp set which was stamped on a Crumb Cake circle using Momentous Tuxedo Black. Then I used my Crumb Cake blend to outline the image.

A Real Red Scalloped Circle is on top of the Merriest Moments frame cut down using a scallop circle. A few leaves from the Forever Flourshing dies were added under the sentiment panel. The sentiment is from the set “Christmas to Remember” & stamped in Real Red. Red Rhinestones were added for a little sparkle.

I hope you have a Blessed Sunday & that you too were able to find some time to stamp.

Happy Stamping, Marilyn (aka MJ)
