Lots of Pun- Paper Pumpkin Alternative & next month’s Kit

I am so over the top crazy about our December Paper Pumpkin. I made the above card using the “piece of bread” image from the stamp set. So here’s the story…I was participating in a Paper Pumpkin Zoom meeting with my AWESOME Up-line (my SU! demonstrator sponsor), Brian King and fellow demonstrators. Brian made the comment about stamping the bread pieces in a row. That’s when it hit me that this image would be perfect for the Freshly Made Sketch 517 . I’d been staring at the sketch all week & trying to come up with a unique design. Thanks Brian for inspiring me!

Here are two pictures of the kit. One with the cards as fully detailed with instructions so you can copy them. And the second shows all the pieces that are in the kit. It is such as great deal! Nine (9) cards & coordinating envelopes, embellishments and a stamp set for just $22.

Here’s a close-up of the card. I added the Balmy Blue dots from the kit at the last minute & I’m not sure if I like them or should have just used the Early Espresso”eyes” from the face image. What do you think?

Next month’s kit is sure to be a winner too. Here’s a sneak peek. Remember, demonstrators don’t get to see the contents or stamp set, just like you. But here is what I do know. I really like when the Paper Pumpkin is “occasion” oriented; this one is sure to have love/Valentine

You’re Wonderful- two takes

“I think You’re Wonderful” is an excellent sentiment for a valentine for friends, acquaintances or colleagues, don’t you think? Today I created a simple card (left) and a more stepped up version (right) using the same sketch.

I like a simple card if I’m short on time or I’m mass producing cards. But it’s still beautiful, don’t you think? I used the new catalog “Sweet Talk” DSP and adhered it directly to my Basic White card base. The sentiment tag was made using Real Red ink on Basic White & cut with the Lovely Labels pick a punch. Red Rhinestones from the annual catalog were added to the sides of sentiment panel.

Both cards feature a Real Red embossed heart from the new “Love & Happiness” bundle.

The stepped up version adds a piece of Blushing Bride card stock under the “Sweet Talk” DSP. Real Red Double Stitched Satin ribbon from the annual catalog was tied around DSP-card stock panel. I used one of the Label die cuts from the “Love & Happiness” bundle to cut the sentiment & added Red Rhinestones on the sentiment panel like the simple version. I also added three Red Rhinestones at the top left.

I hope you can use this sketch for your cards. Have a great Friday & weekend. Stay warm! Marilyn (aka MJ)

Valentine Greetings

Hi friends! Today’s card features products from the new January-July mini catalog.

The embossed open heart was created using the “Love & Happiness” bundle. I mounted the open heart on a panel of Highland Heather & then stamped the sentiment in Real Red in the middle. If you look close you can see the beautiful detail of the embossing.

The DSP is called “Sweet Talk”; it has some great Valentine colors- Real Red, Petal Pink, Highland Heather, So Saffron, Granny Apple Green & Balmy Blue.

The sentiment is also from the “Love & Happiness” bundle; there are 15 sentiments in total including anniversary, wedding, engagement & love.

I hope you have a chance to look at the new catalog. It has some marvelous products & something is bound to strike your fancy. Let me know if you’d like a catalog.

Have a great day! Marilyn (aka MJ)
